Australia and New Guinea

In today's SeaWiFS image of Australia and New Guinea, one can make out the northern end of the Great Barrier Reef, the turbid waters along the southern coast of New Guinea, phytoplankton blooms in the Gulf of Carpentaria, and smoke plumes in Queensland and the Northern Territory as well as one band of what appears to be smoke drifting eastward from Western Australia.
