Southeastern U.S.

The southeastern United States is beautifully clear in this afternoon SeaWiFS image. Several smoke plumes are visible in this image in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Numerous plumes of turbid water extend away from the east coast. The increasing greenness of the land is visible as trees begin to leaf out.
